Robbie Williams may spend much of his time sunning himself in LA these days, but when it came to launching his new single, he returned a lot closer to home.

The former Take That star debuted his new single Candy on Radio 2's Breakfast Show this morning, remembering to tweet a picture of himself with host Chris Evans. HEAR HIM IN ACTION BELOW...

The song has been produced his friend and former Take That colleague Gary Barlow.

Robbie's a busy man. He's also announced three surprise UK shows for this month - with the stadium star playing in venues he originally entertained on his first tour as a solo artist 15 years ago.

And at some point very soon, he's also going to become a first-time father, with his wife Ayda Field due to give birth in the next few weeks. The couple were in London together last week...

Long estranged from Gary Barlow, Robbie reconciled with his Take That pals in 2010 and released a new album. British fans last saw him in action at the Diamond Jubilee Concert in front of Buckingham Palace, also organised by Barlow.
