Inside The Home Of A REAL Footballer's Wife: Alex And Steven Gerrard Give TV Viewers A Glimpse Of Family Life

If you ever wondered what life was REALLY like as a footballer's wife, now's your chance to find out.

For Alex Gerrard - wife of Steven, mum-of-three and the godmum of the species - has opened her home to the TV cameras to give us a fly-on-the-wall glimpse of her much-celebrated and super-glamorous lifestyle.

Alex and her (nearly as) famous husband Steven feature in a new Channel 5 show, Being Liverpool, which goes behind the scenes at the top Premiership club.

They allowed cameras access to their luxurious home, which is in the National Trust protected area of Formby.

In one scene from the six-part series, which will air on UK screens this Friday, Alex looks on as the Liverpool captain is seen playing with his 10-month-old daughter Lourdes in his magnificent kitchen.

Lourdes' big sisters, Lily-Ella, eight, and Lexie six, also feature in the show, and it is obvious that they truly are the apples of their parents' eyes.

In one scene, Steven is treated to a karaoke performance from his eldest daughter. He smiles widely as she sings confidently in to a microphone.

In other shots, the doting dad is seen cuddling his daughters, lavishing attention on each youngster individually.

England skipper Steven also reveals he is a modern man as the documentary follows him helping his youngest daughter master a brightly coloured baby walker, and later playing with her on the family's large, plump sofa.

The footage also allows fans a sneaky glimpse inside the couple's palatial home, and a chance to check out their interior design preferences. The rooms are tastefully decorated in neutral colours light coloured carpets throughout their home - a brave move when there are three young children around.

Being Liverpool appeared on US screens at the weekend, but will make its UK premier this Friday on Channel 5.
