X Factor hopeful Tammy Cartwright quit the singing contest after making it to boot camp stages so she could look after her brother who is battling a drug addiction.
The singer, who dazzled the judges with her rendition of Jennifer Hudson's One Night Only, has now said she left the show because she is "the only person that can control him".
Speaking to Digital Spy about her brother, Cartwright said: "He takes up a lot of my time, mentally. I'm just constantly worried about him... [at boot camp] he had a lapse and I just started panicking."
Meanwhile, the 'search' has been called off for homeless contestant Robbie Hance, who was reported to have gone missing earlier this week.
An X Factor spokesperson has also now confirmed to The Huffington Post UK: “Robbie has been in touch with the team today.”
