TV producer Michael Hurll, who worked on Top of the Pops and set up the British Comedy Awards, has died aged 75.
He worked on the long-running music show for seven years from 1980 and also produced The Two Ronnies for many years.
His son Simon said Mr Hurll, who grew up in Twickenham, southwest London, died at home on Tuesday after suffering with Parkinson's Disease for many years.

Former Top of the Pops presenter Janice Long said: "He was a fantastic producer, who brought excitement to Top of the Pops and it was when it was at its peak and had this huge audience."
Mr Hurll created the British Comedy Awards, which have become a regular event in the showbusiness calendar, in 1990.
In a statement announcing his death, he was described as: "Dearly loved husband of Sandra, father of Jeremy (deceased) and Simon, father-in-law of Louise and Isobel, and grandfather of Sophie and Alexander."
