The time has almost come for the Angels to take Manhattan and Amy and Rory to leave Doctor Who.

Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill will leave the show and their much loved characters behind on Saturday, and in the pictures below you can see some of their final scenes.

In the episode, The Weeping Angels have returned in force, striking at the heart of New York City. River Song (Alex Kingston) is also back as the Doctor (Matt Smith) tries to save the day.

Karen Gillan has warned Doctor Who fans they will be left sobbing when she and Arthur Darvill finally bow out of the TV series.

The actress, who has played Amy Pond for the past two series of the show, has said writer Steven Moffat has given Amy the dramatic send-off that she deserves.

She told The Sunday Mirror: "Steve has written such a fantastic ending. I expect tears."

Adding a little detail about what fans can expect, the paper added: "We see the Doctor and his little Amelia Pond race through the streets of Manhattan to save Rory with help along the way as River Song charges back on to our screens, just in time to say goodbye."
