Few artists are as synonymous with the female form than Egon Schiele, the Austrian painter and protégé of Gustav Klimt (no stranger to a nude himself of course), and Auguste Rodin, the French sculptor.
Both found inspiration in the human body and used it to leave their stamp on the history of their disciplines, and both would go on to inspire future generations of artists.
Today, their influence can be viewed in a very direct way in the work of artist and BAFTA award winning filmmaker Gerry Fox, who has decided to make real life video works based on recreating Schiele and Rodin's masterpieces.

Exhibiting at the Eleven gallery in London, Nudes Moving is a recreation of the vantage points, lighting and props that feature in the original paintings and sculptures.
They also move almost imperceptibly in their frames, meaning that at first you think you're seeing a still life, then jump back when you realise the models are actually writhing slightly in front of you.
