Free Spray Tans And Beauty Treatments For Welsh Jobseekers

Free Spray Tans For Jobseekers

If there's one thing better than the sweet smell of successful job seeking, it's the sweet biscuity smell of spray tans. At least that's the case at one job centre in Wales, which has begun rewarding active job seekers with complimentary spray tans.

Hmm...

Dubbed the Gok Wan makeover, the treatment is offered by The Well-Being And Training Academy in Aberdare, Wales.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Sarah Sweeden, the academy's director, explained:

The academy, who offer a range of services to help people improve their well-being, issued the following statement:

"The well being and training academy is a non for profit organisation. We are not funded and therefore we do not spend tax payers money on spray tanning unemployed people. Beauty is just one service we provide and our aim is to help the whole community (not just the unemployed). We do have a welfare to work agenda but that is through qualified training and a wealth of experience in this field."

The move is just latest in a line of odd stories about the craze for tanned skin.

From the tanorexic mother who reportedly put her 5-year-old daughter on a sunbed to the cast of TOWIE, it's enough the make the pale-skinned among us wonder: is orange skin really that appealing?
