Jermaine Jackson is looking to alter his famous last name to something a little brighter, US court records show.
The older brother of the late Michael Jackson has filed a petition to change his last name to Jacksun for "artistic reasons".

Jackson's friend Steve Dennis said the singer was not the first artist to change his name and it was being done for the reasons stated in the court filing, but would not elaborate.
Jackson has been touring with his brothers in recent months and has been promoting his book about his superstar brother, 'You Are Not Alone'.
A hearing on Jackson's petition will be held on February 22 in Los Angeles.
