Will.i.am Doesn't Need His 'The Voice' Pay Cheque: 'The Money I Do Make, I Give Away'

It's Not About The Money

Will.i.am is convinced he is the fairest talent show judge on TV because he doesn't need his pay cheque from 'The Voice'.

The Black Eyed Peas frontman is a panellist on the British version of the TV talent show, along with pop star Jessie J, Sir Tom Jones and The Script's Danny O'Donoghue, and is currently working on a second season.

Will.i.am now reveals he doesn't need the pay cheque he receives for 'The Voice' and only takes part in the show because he enjoys the job.

He tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "Me coming to the U.K. and doing 'The Voice' is obviously not because of money, it's because I love it. I have that luxury of choosing things not based on what pays the most... The money I do make, I give away (to charity), so I can stand on 'The Voice' with dignity and make my mother and grandmother proud."
