Bestival 2013 Line-Up: Elton John And Snoop Dogg To Headline Festival

BESTIVAL: Huge Headliners Revealed!

Get your sequins and boas ready - Elton John and Snoop Dogg have been confirmed as this year's Bestival headliners.

The Isle Of Wight based festival celebrates its 10th anniversary this year with a UK festival exclusive from Sir Elton and his band on the closing night.

The 'Tiny Dancer' singer, who has sold more than 250 million records over the past four decades, said he "can’t wait" to see the crowds in their nautical-themed fancy dress.

In a statement he said: "I haven’t played any of the major festivals in the UK in recent years, so when the opportunity to play Bestival came up I was very interested. I’ve heard that the Bestival audience comes in fancy dress and I can’t wait to see that, they must all look amazing from the stage.

"At various times I have worn enormous feathered head-dresses, cloaks, hot pants, jumpsuits, clown suits, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, French Maid, The Eiffel Tower and The Statue of Liberty onstage! Wearing fancy dress makes us all feel less inhibited so I think it’s a great way to enjoy live music."

John will also be celebrating his own anniversary in 2013, as he marks 40 years since the release of the 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album'. He promised: "You can expect to hear several tracks from that album."

The festival's eclectic line-up, which Bestival - created by DJ Rob da Bank - is famed for, will also see American rapper Snoop Dogg headline on the Saturday night. The Hip-Hop legend is likely to play tracks from his new album produced by Major Lazer and some of hip-hop’s biggest anthems.

There is now just one more headliner to be announced for the festival, which takes place at the Robin Hill Country Park, Isle Of Wight, from 5-8 September.

Last year's event was headlined by 25-time Grammy award winner Stevie Wonder and British singer Florence Welch.
