Jack Whitehall is apparently hoping to play his own father on TV.
The comedian's dad, Michael Whitehall, could see his 2007 memoirs Shark Infested Waters - about his formative years and his life as an agent for top actors - adapted for the small screen.
And if it goes ahead, Jack is said to be keen to play him, reported The Sun.
A source said: "It's early days but Jack has his eye on the role.
"He'd love to play his dad."
Michael, who is said to be in talks about the adaptation, has had some A-list clients over the years, including Colin Firth, Dame Judi Dench and Richard E Grant.
