EastEnder Jack Branning finds himself in jail after a run-in with Phil Mitchell.
Fans had been left wondering whether soap hardman Phil - played by Steve McFadden - had met a grizzly end after love rival Jack punched him, causing him to fall backwards into the car pit at The Arches.
But new photos show the mechanic lying in a hospital bed with his arm in a sling while Sharon (Letitia Dean) looks on and police officers stand nearby. Another image shows Jack sitting in a cell.
According to reports, Sharon will try and convince Phil not to give evidence against Jack (Scott Maslen).
The boxing club owner now faces a worrying wait to see whether Phil decides to press charges.
The fight broke out over Sharon, who Jack is engaged to but Phil has also proposed to. Jack goes to The Arches to confront Phil and they end up brawling.
