The Oscars are being handed out this weekend, and the bookies seem to be more than sure who they're putting their money on to carry off the film industry's most prized statuettes.

Ben Affleck's CIA heist 'Argo' is a firm favourite to walk off with Best Picture. According to Paddy Power's most recent figures, bookies are giving him a decisive 1/7 odds.
Steven Spielberg's 'Lincoln' is in solid second place, with odds of 11/2, followed by 'Les Mis' and 'Life of Pi' both at 66/1. Deep Southern bayou fable is a clear outsider, with odds of 200/1.
(Don't lose heart, however - Sylvester Stallone's 'Rocky' won in 1977, beating both 'All The President's Men' and 'Taxi Driver', so huge upsets have been known!)
In Affleck's absence from the Best Director shortlist, Spielberg is the firm favourite, with odds of 1/4, followed by Ang Lee for 'Life of Pi'. 'Beasts of the Southern Wild''s Benh Zeitlin taking off the prize would be a big upset - he's on odds of 100/1.
NOBODY is expecting an upset in the Best Actor category this year, however. For his sterling performance as Abraham Lincoln, Daniel Day-Lewis is such a firm favourite with the bookies - he's won everything else this Awards season, too - they are barely offering any odds on him at all. However, anyone with a spare £50 is free to take a punt on the Irish actor picking up his third Academy Award - and they'll win a whole £1 back. Odds on him are currently 1/50 (this was 1/70 yesterday - what have they JUST found out? Hmmm.... )
Hugh Jackman is currently in second place with the bookies at 16/1, for his musical turn in 'Les Miserables', with Bradley Cooper the resident outsider - odds of 66/1 for his role in 'Silver Linings Playbook'.
Cooper's co-star Jennifer Lawrence is currently the favourite to take home the statuette for Best Actress - odds on her repeating her Golden Globe success are a solid 8/13. In second place is BAFTA winner Emmanuelle Riva for 'Amour', with the youngest ever nominee, Quvenzhane Wallis, bringing up the rear at 50/1 for 'Beasts of the Southern Wild'.
In the supporting acting categories, Tommy Lee Jones is a narrow favourite for 'Lincoln' (odds 6/5), although trailing him very closely is Christoph Waltz (6/4), who was the BAFTA winner in this category, so no early shouts for this one.
With a nose MUCH further out front is Anne Hathaway, who wobbled her way through 'Les Miserables'. With odds of 1/50, bookies obviously believe she is set to cement her awards success this season, with only 'Lincoln's Sally Field anywhere near her at 20/1.
Other events possible to bet on include the prospect of host Seth McFarlane to dress up as a Bond girl during the ceremony (odds of 7/1), and 007 himself Daniel Craig to parachute into the ceremony... 4/1.
