If Jessica signs up for the reboot, she might be sharing the screen with Alexander Skarsgard, who has been linked to the title role.
Samuel L Jackson is rumoured to be playing a former mercenary in the film.
Page Six reports that the film will see Tarzan living in London when he is asked to investigate some problems in the Congo.
The story of 'Tarzan' has been told on the big screen several times, and there is currently a new film in the works starring 'Twilight's' Kellan Lutz in the title role.
