Pine Marten Invades Swiss Football Match And Bites Player (VIDEO)

Animal pitch invaders are normally harmless, but Zurich defender Loris Beneto was left with a bleeding finger when he stopped a marauding pine marten during a Swiss league match with FC Thun.

The little critter evaded the clutches of players and staff for five minutes, comedically toying with them on and off the pitch.

While others recovered from twisted blood, Zurich defender Benito had it in its clutches, only the pine marten took exception to being halted and bit his nemesis.

Martens possess sharp teeth, so eventually Zurich goalkeeper Davide Da Costa, armed with his gloves, picked up the nuisance.
