Family photos, piles of magazines and dozens of little tchotchkes and stuffed animals -- no, we're not describing our grannies' homes. That's actually what you'll find in Queen Elizabeth II's private sitting room in Balmoral, Scotland.
And that's not all.
In new images from the documentary "Our Queen" by Michael Waldman, we get a rare glimpse inside her private retreat, which is decorated with cozy decor and contains a surprising amount of clutter. Between the floral-print sitting chairs by the electric fireplace, the visible hanging wire from her artwork and the inevitable corgi statues, her majesty proves she's just like us (with a few more self-portraits laying around -- but hey, she's the queen).
In true Scottish fashion, the royal has even decked out her space with tartan carpets (although if we had to pick a theme for this room, it'd definitely be "shabby chic").
