Olympic champion Victoria Pendleton received her CBE at Buckingham Palace today.
Pendleton's honour comes following a glittering career as a track cyclist that saw her win gold in the keirin event during London 2012.

She retired after last summer's Olympics but her haul of titles stands at two Olympic gold medals, nine golds from the World Championships and podium-topping results in the Commonwealth Games and European Championships.
Pendleton, who arrived with her fiance Scott Gardner, said before the ceremony began: "I'm really excited to be here, I feel very, very proud to be receiving this award. I'm really, really looking forward to it."
Other Olympic and Paralympic gold medallists were recognised during the Buckingham Palace investiture ceremony.
Triathlete Alistair Brownlee, 24, who lived up to the hype to deliver gold at London 2012, was awarded an MBE.
His 22-year-old brother Jonny, a fellow competitor, came away with bronze, making the pair the first British siblings to stand on the same podium in an individual event for more than a century.
Paralympic swimmer Josef Craig, 16, winner of the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award, also received an MBE.
He will be presented with the honour after becoming Britain's youngest Paralympic gold medallist during London 2012, winning the S7 400 metres freestyle when aged just 15.
Stella McCartney, who designed Team GB's adidas kits during London 2012, was awarded an OBE during the investiture.
The designer, who arrived with her husband Alasdhair Willis, was wearing one of her own creations, a trademark blue fitted suit with a skirt.
She said: "I feel really proud and really excited and honoured to be here."
