'Coronation Street' star Michelle Keegan has been signed off work from the soap after she was struck down with a mystery virus.
According to The Mirror, the 25-year-old actress - who plays Tina McIntyre in the ITV soap - was last seen on set on Wednesday before being sent home looking 'distressed'.
Script writers are said to be frantically drawing up a new schedule after filming was delayed on storylines involving Michelle's character.
A spokesman for Coronation Street said: "She had a virus and saw a doctor who sent her home. It is nothing too serious, we are hopeful she will be back on set next week."
A 'Corrie' source told the Mirror: "We have been doing scenes in the new Rovers Return and other smaller stuff with Michelle but now we have ground to a halt on her storyline.
"We are desperately trying to move things around and get other actors in at the last minute so we don't waste time."
