EastEnders' Sharon Rickman's Painkiller Addiction To Worsen (SPOILER, PICTURES)

'Desperately Addicted'

EastEnders'Sharon Rickman's painkiller addiction is set to get worse as she wrestles her pills back from a concerned Lola Pearce.

Sharon, played by Letitia Dean, has become desperately addicted to painkillers with the problem spiralling out of control in recent weeks.

Sharon is seen scrabbling around on the floor for the tablets when Lola (Danielle Harold) knocks them out of her hand.

Lola discovers the pills and even though Sharon insists she isn't addicted, young mum Lola tries to throw them away.

Sharon makes a grab for the bottle and spills the contents onto the floor, then throws herself down onto her hands and knees to collect them.

A worried Lola makes it clear she is going to have to tell Sharon's boyfriend Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) as she can't have her baby Lexi living with a drug addict.

But Sharon is desperate to stop Phil discovering her secret and warns Lola that if she spills the beans she will risk Lexi going back into care.

In the previous episode Lola was appalled when she found baby Lexi abandoned in a pushchair while Sharon was upstairs passed out on the bathroom floor from a combination of painkillers and alcohol.

Letitia recently told Inside Soap she wants to see Sharon beat her addiction for son Dennis's sake.

She said: "I'd like to see Sharon getting stronger again - she's really struggling at the minute, bless her! I'm actually due to go on a break from EastEnders for a little bit. So when I get back, I really hope Sharon will rise like a phoenix from the ashes! She has to, if only for little Dennis's sake."
