The 33-year-old DJ, from Coulsdon, Surrey, who previously dated Katie Price, appeared at Worthing Magistrates' Court and the case was adjourned for trial.

His brother, Wade Bowers, 31, also appeared in court and pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of cocaine but not guilty to assault by beating.

A third man, Terry Kean, 35, also pleaded guilty to cocaine possession but not guilty to using threatening words.

All three defendants were released on unconditional bail until the trial at Chichester Magistrates' Court on October 29.

Bowers, a former Brit School student, became famous in the late-1990s as a member of R&B band Another Level and after the group disbanded he released a duet, 'Out Of Your Mind', with Victoria Beckham.

He went on to appear in 'Celebrity Big Brother' in 2010.
