Britain's Got Talent Finalist Francine Lewis Wants To Win To Celebrate Son's Birthday

BGT: Francine Wants Double Celebration

Britain's Got Talent finalist Francine Lewis hopes to celebrate her son's birthday in style - by winning the hit talent show.

The impressionist, one of 11 finalists in the show, said she was "overwhelmed" to have got this far.

The winner of tomorrow's final, which will be shown on ITV, picks up a £250,000 prize and a chance to perform at the Royal Variety Show.

She said: "It's my son's seventh birthday tomorrow so it's a really significant day for me anyway."

The other finalists include young songwriter Gabz, teen comic Jack Carroll and Hungarian shadow theatre group Attraction.

Francine, who had a stint on The Generation Game before giving up showbiz to bring up a family, said success on the show was "a big thing for me because I was coming back to what I love doing".

But she admitted she has not rehearsed too much ahead of the final and only wrote her set two days ago.

She said: "I'm going out with a bang, doing something fun, doing something a bit different"

Francine said she knew impressions shows "go in and out of fashion" but just wanted to be in television, adding: "If there are any more talent shows that I could perhaps be a judge on or present or something fun?"
