The Huffington Post UK is celebrating after fighting off stiff competition to win a major media award.
Just weeks before the website celebrates its second anniversary, HuffPost UK was awarded Consumer Website of the Year at the Association of Online Publishers Awards, beating the likes of Mail Online, Vogue and Vice to the honour.

Launched in July 2011, HuffPost UK quickly made its mark to become a leading player in the online media, reflected by the award on Thursday evening.
At a glitzy ceremony in central London, the award was presented to HuffPost UK's editor in chief, Carla Buzasi, who praised her colleagues for their efforts.
"We're delighted to have been awarded Consumer Website of the Year by the Association of Online Publishers, especially given the amazing competition in the category this year," Ms Buzasi said.
"It's great to be recognised by our peers and the industry and the award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team."
