Despite some fans' outrage at the price of Glastonbury tickets this year, it has now been named the best value for money music festival in the UK.
2013 Glastonbury tickets broke the £200 barrier for the first time ever at £205. However, analysis by VoucherCodes.co.uk shows music fans save a huge £257.66 by attending Glastonbury rather than going to see its top nine acts individually.
Taking to the Pyramid stage this year will be The Rolling stones, Mumford & Sons and Primal Scream. Tickets to the Stones in Hyde Park in July start at £95 alone.
Those attending this week’s Isle of Wight Festival will also make a significant saving versus seeing headliners including Bon Jovi and Blondie, with the festival coming in second-best for value in the UK - offering a massive saving of £167. V Festival completes the top three, saving its revellers £150 on seeing a chart-topping line-up including Beyonce and Kings of Leon.
One festival that needs to try harder is Latitude, offering attendees a saving of just £13.76.
