Rihanna Tries Hard For Twickenham

Rihanna was receiving plaudits last night after she impressed a 80,000-strong crowd at Twickenham, at the London stop on her 'Diamonds' world tour.

The star told her fans she was "making history" with her sell-out gig aged only 25, and she pulled out all the stops for a crowd that included her mother, father and brothers.

Celebrity fans of the Barbados-born star included Kylie Minogue, who tweeted:

Rihanna impressed fans with her energetic set, finishing with hits 'Stay' and 'Diamonds'

And others were quick to praise the singer:

There were a relatively few disgruntled fans, too, noting her arrival on stage 45 minutes late. Not bad for a self-respecting diva.
