EXCLUSIVE CLIP: Indie Band Travel To See Stone Roses' Legendary 1990 Gig In 'Spike Island'

Just like buses... you wait an age, and then two films about The Stone Roses turn up at once.

In a complementary bookend to Shane Meadows' loving documentary 'Made of Stone' charting the Manchester band's emotional return to the stage, here is Chris Coghill's colourful fictional film, 'Spike Island'.

While the background is real - the Stone Roses' legendary 1990 gig on Spike Island in Widnes, Cheshire - the drama is not, but it really could be, as four members of a young indie band make their way to the concert, in hope of their own musical dreams matching those of their idols.
