Ellen Page Says 'The Last Of Us' Creators 'Ripped Off My Likeness'

Ellen Page has accused a video game of 'ripping off' her likeness without her consent.

Page is to star alongside Willem Defoe in the upcoming game, 'Beyond: Two Souls' but a character which looks quite a bit like her has already made an appearance in critically-acclaimed 'The Last of Us', which was released earlier this month.

The character of Ellie drew immediate comparisons with the actor after the first clip was released in 2011 - and many people have apparently mistakenly credited {age for the performance.

At the time the game's developer, Naughty Dog, claimed any likeness was a "complete coincidence".

But now the gam eis out Page was asked on a Reddit AMA if she minded that the character "even sounds like you. So much so that almost everyone assumed it was you playing the role".

Page responded: "I guess I should be flattered that they ripped off my likeness, but I am actually acting in a video game called Beyond: Two Souls, so it was not appreciated."

Since its initial release the appearance of Ellie has been changed - some suspect to make her look more like actor Ashley Johnson, and less like Page.

Page doesn't seem to mind too much though. After a case of mistaken identity on Twitter she simply insisted the compliments went to the correct person.
