Wayne Rooney was all smiles as Manchester United released the first pictures of David Moyes putting his new players through their paces in pre-season.
Rooney, whose relationship with Sir Alex Ferguson disintegrated over two-and-a-half fraught years at Old Trafford, is yet to publicly comment on his future.
Moyes was evasive when asked about Rooney's future on Friday, amid speculation the striker is open to joining José Mourinho's second era at Chelsea.
Nani, Chris Smalling, Darren Fletcher and Ashley Young were not involved in training due to injury while Javier Hernández, Shinji Kagawa and David de Gea will link up with United later this month, after the trio were given an extended break due to their Confederations Cup and Under-21 European Championship commitments.
Moyes will manage United for the first time against a Singha All Star XI this Saturday in the first of their seven pre-season games in Asia and Australia.
