Detectives have released images of two brothers they want to speak to in connection with the murder of a man who was stabbed to death at a house.

Officers are urging anyone who knows the whereabouts of Joshua Ellis, 22, and 14-year-old Jerome Ellis to contact Surrey Police as soon as possible.

They have also appealed to the brothers to contact police as a matter of urgency.

The pair were living at an address in Cedar Way, Guildford, where the body of a man, who is believed to be in his 50s, was found with stab wounds yesterday morning, a police spokesman said.

It is understood they were not at the property at the time of the incident.

A 16-year-old boy and a 49-year-old woman were detained by police and are still being questioned following the discovery of the man, who police say was known to them.

A Surrey Police spokesman said: "Further house-to-house inquiries and forensic examinations have been carried out today and a police cordon at the address remains in place."

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Preston, of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, said: "We need to find Joshua and Jerome as a matter of urgency and have issued their photographs today in the hope that someone will recognise them or they will make contact.

"Officers continue working to locate them as quickly as possible but anyone with information on their whereabouts should contact police."

A post-mortem examination is under way at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, the police spokesman added.

The victim has not yet been formally identified.
