When a friend or family member is getting divorced, it's far easier to chat about that than the minefield of remarrying and second weddings.
It turns the best of us into socially inept foot-in-mouthers, involuntarily making references to their previous weddings and using phrases such as 'this time round' as if we're not quite sure this marriage will stick.
