David Beckham has reportedly pulled out of investing in his friend Gordon Ramsay's latest restaurant, just weeks before it opens.
The former England captain was thought to be backing the 'Kitchen Nightmare' chef's latest venture in London, the Union Street Cafe.
The Cafe is due to open next week but Becks has reportedly left Michelin-starred Ramsay to go it alone after they decided they wanted different things.
In what sounds like a break-up, a source close to the pair reportedly told the Scottish Daily Record: “They may be best friends, but they are also very astute businessmen and both wanted different things.
“Becks was ready to make an investment and had visited the site.
"But they both talked long and hard and have decided not to work together on this occasion.”
However, the friends are still expected to open a pie-and-mash shop together in the autumn.
In July, Becks was snapped inspecting the site for his typical British eaterie in Bermondsey, east London.
A source close to Becks told The Mirror: “In the grand scheme of his business ventures, this is small but it’s the one he’s most excited about.
“He’s a great cook and has learned how to do French and Italian over the years but his favourite is British. He loves a pie.”
