Twitter was awash with MPs congratulating each other on their various promotions on Monday. But trust Nadine Dorries to ruin the love-in.

Conservative MP Hopkins was made a local government minister by David Cameron as part of the long-awaited ministerial reshuffle. The Keighley MP was elected to parliament in 2010 - but apparently does not have a big fan in Dorries despite being a member of the same party.

Dorries animosity towards Hopkins is not new. Earlier this year when Hopkins called for the party to unite behind David Cameron, she responded with: "pass the sick bag." She added, presciently: "Will the PM please give the obsequious Kris Hopkins MP a job, a PPS, anything his begging is painful."
