Paul 'Gazza' Gascoigne Joins Twitter

Former England player Paul Gascoigne has finally joined Twitter, accruing more than 140,000 followers in the first few hours.

Gazza, who played for Newcastle, Tottenham and Lazio among others, has struggled with mental health issues and alcoholism since retiring from the game, but received an outpouring of support on the micro-blogging site.

However, some voiced their concern that Twitter might not be the best place for a man who has in the past shown some mental fragility.
