British customers unhappy with energy prices have been told to change their government provider.

"There is something everyone can do, which is look to switch their government from one supplier to another,” said the Managing Director of Britain, David Cameron.

Ed Davey, spokesman for fellow government supplier the Liberal Democrats, echoed Cameron's words - saying that it was “very disappointing news” that the current government had done nothing to keep energy prices low but that customers "could look elsewhere".

Caroline Flint of rival supplier Shadow Energy, meanwhile, has pledged to freeze the government for at least four years from 2015 if Britons choose her company to be their supplier.

Nigel Farage of the energetic company UKIP, however, said that British customers would be better switching from 'the Big Three' suppliers altogether.
