Well, you thought things were bad with no-reservations bookings - but if you head to Eat in Brooklyn, New York, be prepared for something worse. In this establishment, talking is not allowed because it distracts from the taste of the food.

Eat's managing chef Nicholas Nauman, was inspired after living in a Buddhist monastery in India and found that eating in silence enhanced what he was eating. The restaurant is often at capacity and serves a four-course meal.
