After 10 years, 100 million players, 32.3 quadrillion shots fired and 25 billion hours spent playing the game (all real figures), Call of Duty needs some new ideas.
And while we haven't yet managed to play the new version, 'Call of Duty: Ghosts' -- at least not since Gamescom - it looks like it's bringing some genuinely new stuff to the battlefield.
Like... aliens. According to the latest trailer, the new game eschews the now traditional 'zombies' mode to add aliens instead.
The quote from Activision reads as follows:
"Call of Duty: Ghosts introduces Extinction - an all-new 1-4 player cooperative game mode featuring a unique blend of fast-paced survival action, FPS base defense, scavenging and class leveling..."
