Paul McGann has reprised his role as the eighth incarnation of the Time Lord in a new 'Doctor Who' mini-episode.
The actor - who appeared as the Doctor in a 1996 TV movie - stars in a seven minute clip ahead of the special 50th anniversary episode 'The Day Of The Doctor', which airs on 23 November.
The webisode confirms that John Hurt's mysterious version of the Doctor - who will take centre stage in the anniversary episode - followed directly on from Paul's incarnation and also finally reveals why he regenerated.

Paul previously claimed he was not involved in the 50th celebrations for the show, telling Flicks and City: "I was a bit dismayed. A bit gutted [not to be asked], but [the older Doctors] are not in it."
