Vincent Kompany was back in training for Manchester City on Tuesday and could feature in their penultimate Champions League group game with Viktoria Plzeň.
Kompany has played just six times this season and last featured in the 3-1 win over Everton on 5 October.
The 27-year-old suffered a thigh muscle strain on that particular occasion, having limped off during City's opening Premier League fixture against Newcastle with a groin injury.
