'Strictly Come Dancing': Mark Benton Voted Off After Dance-Off With Ashley Taylor-Dawson

Fourth Time Unlucky For Strictly's Mark

Mark Benton was finally eliminated from 'Strictly Come Dancing' on Sunday night, after failing to survive a fourth dance-off in a row.

The 'Waterloo Road' actor and his partner Iveta Lukosiute were up against 'Hollyoaks' star Ashley Taylor Dawson and his partner Ola Jordan.

Mark's samba to 'I Just Can't Wait To Be King' from 'The Lion King' failed to convince any of the judges that he should be saved, as they all opted to keep Ashley in the competition.

Looking back on his run on the BBC One show, Mark said: "What a time I have had. I've got to say thank you to my dear friend and fantastic teacher Iveta, she is amazing.

"I also want to thank my amazing wife and children, the backstage guys, the beautiful band, the judges. They are all amazing. I have had a ball."

Iveta commented: "This is my first season and Mark made it so special and memorable. I enjoyed every minute with him, he made me laugh.

"I taught him dance and he taught me many more things than that. He is my family."
