Not one to shy away from a little competition, Oxford University men's rugby club has released a naked charity calendar to rival the women's attempt - which hit headlines earlier this week.

Members of the Oxford University Rugby Club First XV, known as the Blues, have been photographed at 12 famous Oxford landmarks, including the Bridge of Sighs and the Radcliffe Camera.

Team captain John Carter said his team took some encouraging the be pictured in the buff: "The boys wanted to support Against Breast Cancer UK, a charity which works so hard to fight against a disease which affects so many lives.

"In the end, it took the lads little encouragement to strip off for charity - we got some pretty odd looks from tourists, but that's a small price to pay for helping a good cause!"
