Leonardo DiCaprio has entered a new electric motor racing team for the first season of Formula E.
The Inception star has co-founded a Monaco-based outfit with Venturi Automobiles owner, Gildo Pallanca Pastor.
Formula E will take place in 10 of the world's leading cities, including London, Los Angeles, Beijing, Miami, Buenos Aires and Berlin.

DiCaprio is a prolific green campaigner
Teams will compete in cars with the same specifications in the first year.
"The future of our planet depends on our ability to embrace fuel-efficient, clean-energy vehicles," DiCaprio said. "Venturi Grand Prix has shown tremendous foresight in their decision to create an environmentally friendly racing team, and I am happy to be a part of this effort."
