Archbishop Desmond Tutu's house was burgled as he attended nelson Mandela's memorial service on Tuesday, it as been reported.

His aide Roger Friedman said on Wednesday: "I can confirm that there was a burglary last night," reports AFP.

Tutu's home is in the suburbs of Cape Town, 800 miles away from Johannesburg where the service was held.
