It's 10 years to the day that Saddam Hussein was tracked down and captured by US forces.

It was an ignominious end for the former Iraqi president, cowering in a hole in the ground, stinking, filthy and with his face covered by an unkempt beard.

He would later be found guilty of numerous charges related to the Dujail Massacre in 1982.

He was hanged on 30 December 2006.
