The first wry cases of "mistaken identity" are already trickling in, with tributes being paid to Ronnie Wood, Notorious B.I.G., Ronnie Barker and, er Bruce Forsyth. (Keep it up guys, we'll add more as they are posted).
It's a relatively new trend, which hit new heights upon the death of Nelson Mandela - as jokers posted homages to newsreader Trevor McDonald and Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman.
