These six-week-old Siberian tiger cubs got off to a bumpy start in life after their mother turned her back on them, following their birth at China’s Hangzhou Zoo.
But help arrived in the form of one very generous surrogate mother – a dog from a nearby village.
The tiger cubs and puppies jostle for space
The hound, which had just had her own litter of pups was quite happy to share her milk with the little big cats, ensuring a happy ending for all AND evidence that the species can peacefully coexist.
