Joe Rickey Hundley To Be Sentenced For Slapping A Child Around The Face During A Flight

A man who hit a crying toddler on a plane is due to be sentenced this week.

In October, Joe Rickey Hundley pleaded guilty to slapping a 19-month old boy below his eye on a flight between Minneapolis and Atlanta.

According to the prosecution, Hundley used a racial slur before slapping the child as the plane descended into the airport last February.

For his crime, Hundley could face up to a year in prison and a fine of up to $100,000 (£60,000).
