'The Voice' Hopeful Leo Ihenacho Dismissed As A 'Session Singer' By Former Streets Bandmate Mike Skinner

'The Voice' Star Responds To 'Session Singer' Claims

'The Voice' star Leo Ihenacho has been dismissed as a 'session singer' by Mike Skinner of The Streets after the singing hopeful claimed he used to be a full time member of the band.

More than 10 million people watched Leo get through to the next round of the BBC singing show after a flirty exchange with new judge Kylie Minogue on the first episode of the new series.

But after revealing he used to be a member of The Streets - who had hits with 'Dry Your Eyes' and 'Fit And You Know It' - his former bandmate Mike Skinner blogged to say that wasn't the case.

“Leo the lion wasn’t in The Streets," he said.

"He was a session singer on a few tracks. He also sang on tour for a bit.”

Reacting to the post, Leo said: “You are a total disgrace! How f***ing dare you...!!??”

Leo, from Camberwell, South London, will be mentored by Kylie after performing Simply Red’s 'Holding Back The Years'.
