Look, bacon is just a type of meat. It's not a cornerstone of alterna-pop culture. It's not remarkable in any way, including the taste, which -- yes -- is salty, and fatty, and is often pleasant, but that's it.
It doesn't need to be a spread, a type of chocolate or a bra.
And it doesn't need to be an alarm clock either.
Regardless, and in proof that we have indeed hit peak bacon, or more accurately peak PR inertia, the latter has been invented.
