#SaveBBC3: David Voices Support For Record-Breaking Petition

'Little Britain' comic David Walliams is the latest star to voice his support for the campaign to save BBC3 as an online petitions hits a record-breaking 115k signatures.

David, whose hit comedy was first broadcast on the channel, urged fans to sign the Change.org petition via his Twitter account.

“If you want to #SaveBBC3 sign this petition. I am a bit biased as @bbcthree was where 'Little Britain' started!” he wrote.

With over 115k signatures and counting, the Change.org petition is the fastest-growing and biggest petition relating to a television network to ever appear on the site.

Plans to axe the channel in 2015 and make its programmes available via iPlayer only were confirmed by BBC Director-General Tony Hall yesterday afternoon.
