Cabbage Soup Diet: Everything You Need Including Cabbage Soup Recipe And 7 Day Diet Plan

The Cabbage Soup Diet is designed to help people lose weight at a rate of knots.

The plan lasts for just one week and dieters can expect to lose up to 10lbs, according to claims.

The way it works is simple - dieters eat mainly cabbage soup for one week, together with a selection of other foods that vary on each day of the diet.

7 Day Diet Plan

Dieters can eat as much cabbage soup as they wish on each day of the diet, in addition to the following foods.

Day One: Fruit

Eat as much fruit as desired, excluding bananas. You may drink unsweetened teas, cranberry juice and water.

Day Two: Vegetables

Eat as many fresh, raw or cooked veggies as you wish. For dinner reward yourself with a large jacket potato with butter. Do not eat fruit today. You may drink unsweetened teas and water.

Day Three: Fruit And Vegetables

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. There is no jacket potato today.

Day Four: Bananas And Skimmed Milk

Today, munch on up to eight bananas and drink as many glasses of skimmed milk as you want.

Day Five: Beef And Tomatoes

Eat ten to twenty ounces (280g) of beef and up to six fresh tomatoes. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water7 to wash the uric acid from your body.

You may eat broiled or baked chicken instead of beef (but a remove all skin from the chicken). If you prefer, you can substitute broiled fish for beef on one of the beef days.

Day Six: Beef And Vegetables

Eat as much beef and vegetables (excluding potatoes) as desired.

Day Seven: Brown Rice, Unsweetened Fruit Juices And Vegetables

Consume as much brown rice, vegetables (excluding potatoes) and unsweetened fruit juice as you want

Diet Pros And Cons To Cabbage Soup Diet

The diet can kick-start a weight loss regime, but it is not suitable for long term weight loss. Some dieters have reported light-headedness, weakness or flatulence.
