These pictures show the terrifying moment a man holding huge cleaver grabbed a woman and threatened to cut her throat.
The man held the woman hostage for more than an hour at the Kunming News Center in China's Yunnan Province.
The woman appeared remarkably calm despite the highly-agitated man holding the massive blade to her throat.

Eventually the knifeman was tackled to the ground by police in plain clothes, who took him by surprise, according to reports.
Chinese police say they do not know why the man took the woman hostage.
Radio Free Asia reported last month that there had been a 29 fatal knife attacks in Kunming during what it described as a “slashing rampage”. The authorities blamed the attacks on separatists from the Xinjiang Uyghur region.
